a friend recently asked me how many weddings i had been to in the last couple months

my response ----> {L}{O}{T}{S}

this weekend i attended two weddings

back [to] back

i love how a wedding brings people together

have you ever wondered what your life would be like without friends

?????

friends are the reasons we smile

friends increase your enjoyment of life

my friend jayme was married on saturday

old friends & their families came together

-----it was the best reunion-----

full of laughs, old stories, tears, and a baby that puked

the friends that were around when i had my first kiss

the friends that were there on the countless basketball roadtrips

the friends that accepted me when i peed my pants from laughing so hard

the friends that walked the stage with my at high school graduation

after high school we all went our separate ways

{five} years later

we are growing up

some graduated. some married. some moms.

these two BEAUTIFUL babes have a family of their own now

congrats!

the lovely adri is now a MRS

she had a reception in her backyard

i am attending wedding after wedding this summer

is it the season or what?!?

and i stall have {2} more

ash & i at the reception

nineteen eighty four

26 years ago [t][o][d][a][y]

two lovebirds tied the knot

---- my parents ----

i'm sure glad they said "i do"

we are {one} happy family

always & forever

who knows where our family will be in the next 26 years, but as long we can laugh at dad's dance moves, eat mom's cookies till we're sick, sing songs on the radio at the top of our lungs, and remember how lucky we are to have a family like this, i'm pretty sure we'll be enjoying ourselves

a couple misquito bites won't ruin a weekend

i spent last week in u-t-a-h

seeing so many good friends

this past weekend i went with two friends to our cabin. we had a great time. mama and papa irons took good care of us. i love when friends want to visit my great state.

sometimes we spend all of our time in utah... so it was great to get away for some {different} r & r.

floated in the river.

skipped rocks.

played games.

watched tv.

ate lots of food.

bonfire.

s'mores.

good times. great memories. the best of friends.

lots of laughs. sun tanned skin. people watching. morning walk.

star gazing. winning every game we played.

what more could a girl ask for?

i love summer

pool feet

we took a trip to the middle of no where

dad + mom + me

just to soak up some sun and get away

it had lounge charis

it had a pool

at the pool

i read this book

& loved it

we played a lot of cards & cribbage

by the pool

and sipped a lot of raspberry lemonade

i have been home for a [month] now

the transition has surprised me

i am surviving

now that i am back, i am enjoying telling stories of my trip

remembering fun times i had

skimming through the {hundreds} of photos

i knew that i would not fully grasp what i had experienced

until
a-f-t-e-r

i returned home

at this moment:
i have a friend adventuring in copenhagen

and a friend visiting rome
and a friend prancing in the sandy beaches of southern france

and i am here

**missing** that life

but i'm ok knowing that things are this way for a reason

and i'm still smiling

because home is where your heart is

three nights of fireworks

fireworks show at the aggie stadium

we sang loud & proud to party in the u.s.a.

  

[saturday]

july 3rd

on to jackson hole, wyoming

{40} of us decided to take on the snake river

white water rafting

full of laughs

rapids

shuttering teeth

& cold bodies (after we were drenched by the white water)

we headed to jenna walker's backyeard

her wonderful parents hosted a b-b-q for all of us

 

some played in an intense game of bump

 

then we went to watch the fireworks show

m-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i

  

  

it was a good night

i was dreamin' in red white & blue

i headed back to the good ol' t.f.

after we watched the show

my parents and i had a bon-fire & roasted s'mores
