{chelsea} of cache county

Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we know all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?"
{Anne Shirley}

----i would consider myself in the running for your present day Anne Shirley----

Ok so I am not an orphan,
I do have two parents that are my benefactors.

And I wouldn’t call my hair carrot-red,
but I do have auburn (red in the sun) hair.

Anne of Green Gables is a story by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Everyone living should have already read this classic novel. This is one of my favorite tales of all time. I grew up on this book, movie, and the tv show Avonlea.

The story centers on Anne Shirley, a red-headed orphan, with a wild imagination and a talent for getting into trouble. Imagination is central to Anne’s existence. She wants to find out about the world and she doesn’t fear what the world has in store for her. She has dreams and lives every day to its fullest.

I don’t know how many people that read this get to be around me all of the time, but the ones that are around me do know how BIG my dreams are these days. Live in London…. Humanitarian healthcare work in Africa…. Climb machu picchu in Peru.

But the thing is now is the time to be bolder, to dare to achieve, to begin something worth doing in my life. I’m young, and I love to be young.

I want to have the same outlook and optimism that Anne Shirley had. She followed her dreams even when there were obstacles in her path. And along the way she made “kindred spirits.” She had the attitude to approach each new day as a journey to accomplish what you want and desire.

Will it be easy?
{Not likely}
Will it be worth the work, the risk, and the leap of faith on my part?
{Absolutely}

She lives in a place called Prince Edward Island. And who wouldn’t thrive in the environment with the name like this?!?
